President Biden is expected to announce on Tuesday that he is speeding up the adult date to make it eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine before April 19.
Last month, Biden instructed states, tribes and regions to ensure that all adults can be vaccinated before May 1.

Biden has set a goal of providing 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the first 100 days of his tenure-this goal has doubled to 200 million doses by his 100th day.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control, Biden will also say that more than 75% of people over the age of 65 have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 55% of people in this age group have received both doses and prophylaxis.
Biden is also expected to advertise more than 4 million doses of vaccine in a single day over the weekend.

After visiting the vaccination site in Alexandria, Virginia, the president will announce the news from the White House on Tuesday.
