It seems that Amazon-made game controllers have appeared in the FCC archives (thanks to Dave Zatz, because this is the first thing discovered). Although Amazon-made game controllers themselves will be interesting, these documents have been released shortly before the company’s next annual hardware event (starting today at 1pm EST), indicating that Amazon may eventually reveal more about its rumors Information about the long-standing Project Tempo. Cloud gaming services are fast.
It is difficult to understand a lot of information about the controller from the file-I can see that the controller will support Bluetooth and 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi protocols, but I can̵
In fact, it seems that Amazon has spared no effort to hide the existence of the controller, because these files are not named in Amazon’s name at all. This work was done through a company called “Zippy Hippie Twister LLC”, and I did not do this. As we all know, Amazon has used such weird company names.
This is not Amazon’s first game controller-it released one with the first Fire TV in 2014, and you can play games on the then new set-top box. But starting in 2018, the controller stopped using some newer Fire TV devices. (At the time of writing, the Amazon page of the controller is still open, although you cannot purchase it.)
We will know as soon as possible whether Amazon has actually packaged this new controller with Project Tempo, which has apparently been in use for a while, and there are rumors that it will be launched later this year or sometime in 2021.
