Apple's new iPhone X Plus is said to be the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus
Questions, How Big The Rumored iPhone X Plus Will Really Be
According to a recent report by Macotakara you can easily get a feel for grabbing an iPhone 8 Plus, since the two devices will be about the same size same size.
Macotakara relies on a "reliable source of supply," but it's not difficult to estimate the size of the iPhone X Plus itself – it's rumored that the device has a 6.5-inch screen (compared to the 5.5-inch screen of the iPhone 8 Plus), but due to the dramatically lower f-stops, the overall size of the two phones should be similar.
For comparison, the 5.8-inch iPhone X is 5.65 x 2.79 inches, while the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 is 5.45 x 2.65 inches.
The report also claims that the iPhone X will be slightly thicker than the iPhone 8 Plus due to a different implementation of the rear camera (0.2mm or .0078 inch) (so there may not be any camera givenness).
In addition, Macotakara claims that the next release of Apple's mobile operating system, iOS 12, will provide support for the horizontal unlocking of face IDs. Face ID is currently only recognizable to you while holding the phone vertically, but horizontal unlocking makes sense for the tablet-sized iPhone X Plus and the rumored new iPad with Face ID support.
None of this has been officially confirmed by Apple, and the iPhone X Plus, if it is real, is unlikely to be announced before September. Earlier rumors about the iPhone X Plus claimed a starting price of $ 999, an OLED display, more RAM (4GB), and a much larger battery than the iPhone X.
