If you have just received a new iPhone 12, Apple Watch or iPad, you may not be satisfied immediately-Apple has some. This may be the result of a large number of people trying to set up or update iCloud accounts after giving gifts during the Christmas holidays.
According to the iCloud account and login entries on the Apple system status page, the problem started early on Christmas Day.More than a day later, as of PT Saturday morning, the Apple system status page displayedStill in progress. However, the iCloud issue was marked as “resolved”
The company also noticed Apple ID login issues. In a Twitter response late on Christmas, there was an Apple user who wanted to install an iPad and HomePod Mini. Apple support staff admitted the problem and said that the company “is currently experiencing high capacity, which is affecting your ability to set up iCloud.” Apple supported the tweet saying “please try again in a few hours.”
Holidays are usually a busy time for device activation, because people will take apart the gifts of phones, tablets, smart watches, smart speakers and other electronic products and want to set them up immediately.
Apple did not respond to a request for comment.
