Respawn has started teasing Apex Legends Season 7, which seems to start in mid-November, because Season 6: Enhanced Battle Pass seems to end on November 10. The 7th version released with Xbox Series X/S and PS5. In any case, this is the most complicated setting in the new season that Respawn has ever conducted-the developers set up a multi-step treasure hunt to introduce the new playable character of Season 7: Horizon.
If you start the game now, you will receive a message from a mysterious character who needs your help to test some techniques. Go to “Shooting Range” and find the screen connected to the generator. Here, the voice will contact you again and ask you to do some tests for her.
Leaving the lobby, you will see some new challenges, as well as the allocation of daily, weekly and after-sales limited-time challenges. These new challenges are marked as “A Wee Experiment”. To prove that you are worth testing the gravity boost of the mysterious sound, you must deal 10 damage while in the air, knock down 10 times, and revive 120 opponents.
After completing all these operations, you will receive a new message and you can meet at the “shooting range”. Go there and the voice will provide you with a key card to access the gravity elevators scattered in Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. They will not be marked on your map, but the brand new challenge under “Challenge Experiment” prompts you to find them in oil refineries, Skyhook, air bases, and rejection stations. If you find a small node on the ground connected to a generator, such as a small node connected to a display in the “ignition range”, you will find one. Swiping the card activates the elevator, allowing you to walk up several floors vertically.
After activating all four gravity lifts, return to the shooting range and the voice will show that you are the newest entrant in the Apex game: Dr. Mary Somers, also known as Horizon.
Prior to this, rumors and data mining have pointed out that the new character in Season 7 is Horizon, a legend who can manipulate gravity with her technology. Although it has not been confirmed, it is speculated that her tactical ability is Gravity Lift, which is consistent with the latest series of teases. The data miner proposed that when she landed from a high place (whether from a fall or jump from a valley of gravity), her passive ability would enhance her ability, and her ultimate ability would create a temporary black hole that would close nearby Drag all targets to one place.
Of course, we can’t determine what Horizon’s capabilities are until the official start of Season 7. Until then, we can actually only point to these latest trailers to hint at one of the new legendary abilities. Respawn has done this many times in the past-for example, placing Octane’s Launch Pads around Kings Canyon before season 1, and using Respawn’s death totem effect in Shadowfall before season 4, including placing Loba’s Burglar’s Best Friend bracelet Placed in the World’s Edge dome before Season 5, and before Season 6, surrounded graffiti around the edge of the world, shouting Rampart’s Empty Minigun “Sheila”.
