The Oscar-winning actor said to those who drink and/or abuse drugs: “Today is the tomorrow you were very worried about yesterday.”
Anthony Hopkins celebrated 45 years of sobriety on Tuesday, sending a message of hope to those who drink and/or abuse drugs, especially his young fans.
The Oscar-winning actor posted a one-minute video message on Twitter in which he provided insight and thoughtfulness.
After acknowledging how difficult 2020 is for so many people, the film star said: “Forty-five years ago today, I received a wake-up call. I was heading for disaster and drank myself to death,”
Hopkins said that he has “days off” and sometimes “skeptical”, but emphasizes those who strive to be strong.
Hopkins said: “Today is tomorrow, and you were very worried yesterday.” “You young people, just stay there. Don’t give up, just keep fighting, be bold, and powerful forces will help you.
