Napa County reported on Wednesday 49 new COVID-19 cases that occurred within 24 hours and one death.
Since the beginning of the pandemic last spring, the county has reported 28 confirmed COVID-19 deaths, 10 of which occurred in December.
The most recent death was an adult under 65 who died outside the county.
These 49 cases are one of the low daily totals in a month, and sometimes the number of cases in a day reaches triple digits.
Nevertheless, the total number is still very high compared to the beginning of October, when daily cases were usually only one digit.
Overall, the county has reported 5664 confirmed cases. Of these, 3,746 were active, 1,890 were in recovery, and 28 of them died.
