After the news allegedly leaked by the actor on the Internet, Arme Hammer withdrew from the upcoming movie with Jennifer Lopez. Hammer described their descriptions in news and social media as online attacks, calling them malicious and false.
Hammer is the protagonist of movies such as “The Social Network” and “Call Me By Your Name”. He opposes Lopez in the action comedy Shotgun Wedding. However, he will no longer assume this role.
A production spokesperson told PA News Agency: “As the Shotgun Wedding is about to begin, Armie has asked to withdraw from the film and we support his decision.”
After the 34-year-old Hammer became the focus of social media comments over the weekend, explicit and disturbing news allegedly sent by him circulated online.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, Hammer said: “I did not respond to these nonsense, but given the malicious and false attacks on me online, I cannot leave my four children out of conscience. Filming in the month. A film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate has provided me with support in this regard. I am very grateful for that.”
The gun shotgun wedding will be directed by Pitch Perfect film producer Jason Moore and will follow a couple who have become cold feet from walking in the aisle. When the wedding was hijacked by criminals, things became more complicated.
Hammer played the Winklevoss twins in “Social Network” and played Timothy Chalamet in the famous TV series “Call Me by Your Name”.
He recently faced Lily James in the Netflix adaptation of Rebecca.
