Alabama defeated Ohio State University 52-24, the third national championship in the college football playoff era.
In the season severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the Crimson Tide was able to win the first championship in 2021 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, and maintained an unbeaten season.
The victory gave Alabama 14 consecutive victories. Since November 30, 2019, the Crimson Tide has never lost in the SEC Championship game.

On the ground, Najee Harris had 79 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. He also had 7 catches for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Slade Bolden scored a touchdown in the second half. This is his first college touchdown.
Ohio State has struggled hard throughout the season, but it quickly failed.
Justin Fields was defeated by the Crimson Tide defense all night. He made 17 of 33 shots with 194 yards passing and touchdowns. He also led the team to 67 yards.

Master Teague III rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Trey Sermon left the game with a lip injury early in the game. As a precaution, he was taken to the hospital but did not return.
Buckeye receiver Garrett Wilson had the only touchdown. He won with three goals for 50 yards. Chris Olave leads Ohio State University with eight catches for 69 yards.
The Buckeyes ended their season with ten championships and one defeat.
Nick Saban’s legendary college football legacy will only grow after winning. This is Saban’s seventh national championship and the sixth head coach of Alabama. He won the LSU championship in the 2003 season and returned to college football after playing for the Miami Dolphins for a while, and won his first championship in Alabama in 2009.
Alabama won its first national championship in the 2015 college football playoffs, beating Clemson 45-40. The team defeated Georgia 26-23 in the only overtime in the final. This is their 18th title in school history.
