Hasha said that before the crash, one vehicle appeared to have crossed the median.

The crash caused one of the trucks to catch fire, not only by our readers, but also by WYDOT’s webcam.

This is one of the first photos taken by the WYDOT webcam in the fire.

Hasha said officials are asking residents and travelers to avoid the area so that the investigation can continue.

Currently, traffic is diverting from the eastbound route of I-80, but be prepared for slow or stagnant traffic. Due to the diversion of traffic, traffic congestion in cities and towns along Elk Street and Ninth Street is particularly congested, and traffic congestion has increased.

The latest WYDOT webcam photos show that the fire has been extinguished and cleanup and investigation work is still in progress.
