Lake County, Ohio (WJW) – The Lake County General Sanitation District stated that a second person who participated in a trunk or snack event tested positive for COVID-19.

The trunk or snack event of the Lake County Emergency Team was held at the Captain’s Stadium in Eastlake on October 11.

The first positive coronavirus test in the incident was confirmed on October 15.

The health department of Lake County reminded the participants to pay attention to symptoms.

LCGHD said at the time: “Because of the large number of people attending the meeting, many of them did not wear masks, LCGHD believes that it is important to inform the public.”

The second person who tested positive for the coronavirus has also been exposed to other people with the coronavirus, so LCGHD said it does not yet know where the person was infected.

In the Ohio Public Health Advisory Alert level, Lake County is considered red, which means that the area has high exposure and spread.

Since March, the General Health District of Lake County has reported 2,089 cases of coronavirus and 60 deaths.
