Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) cancelled the dinner in person to commemorate the New Democrats of Congress originally scheduled for Friday night. Her Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill wrote on Twitter: “Our office strictly follows the instructions of the attending physician’s office, including this dinner. To further model the country, this incident has been modified, Let the elected members pick up the meals in a way that is far away from the society…Is there any gatherings”. Members are elected and will now accept boxed lunches. A photo of a room in the Capitol will go viral on Friday. Pelosi told NBC, “The room is very spacious.” The leader of the House of Representatives said that although the windows of the room where the dinner party was supposed to be held did not open, it still provided additional ventilation.
