Oswego County, New York (WSYR-TV)—The Oswego County Social Services Building in Mexico will be closed on November 12 (Thursday) and November 13 (Friday) for cleaning and disinfection. Reasons Several employees tested positive for COVID-19.

James Weatherup, chairman of the Oswego County Council, said: “The health and safety of our residents and county employees is our top priority.” “COVID-19 is now widespread in Oswego County, We all need to do our best to limit the spread of the virus. We must avoid unnecessary gatherings, alienate social interactions, wear masks and wash our hands frequently.”

Huang Jiancheng, Director of Public Health of Oswego County, said that all known contacts of COVID-positive patients will be notified through the contact tracking investigation of the health department.

Those who wish to apply for benefits can apply online at https://mybenefits.ny.gov/mybenefits/begin or leave the application in the drop-in box outside the DSS facility at 100 Spring Street, Mexico.
