In a public video conference about the reopening of schools closed during the pandemic, members of the California school board were ridiculed collectively because they were mocking their parents.
According to Fox News, all four members, including Oakley Elementary School District Board Chair Lisa Bridgendin, resigned on Friday.
Board members were complained in the video, complaining that their parents wanted the teacher to return to the classroom. At the Wednesday meeting, the trustee thought it was private, and Bridgendan seemed to mock his parents for “hoping that the nanny will come back.”
“The comments made are not in line with our vision and are definitely not a position represented by any of us. I know we have lost trust in the community. I will not make any excuses for what happened or why it happened.” School Director Greg Hetrick Said in a statement.
Brisendine then issued an apology. The other members of the board-Kim Bid, Erica Hippopolito and Rich Masadas-resigned on Friday.
