Sources told ESPN’s Adam Schäfert on Wednesday that the San Francisco 49ers are signing kicker Robbie Gould with Robbie Gould on a two-year contract worth $7.25 million.
Before the 2022 season, Gould and Niners extended their relationship.
The 38-year-old Gould made 19 of 23 field goal attempts this season, spanning 52 yards, and scored 93 points in 36 of the 38 games on PATS. In Week 12, his 42-yard high at the buzzer allowed the 49ers to beat the Los Angeles Rams 23-20.
The 16-year veteran player has contributed 86.6% of points in his 462 careers, scoring 1,731 points. In addition to the 49ers, he also played for Bears and Giants.
