According to reports, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban reached out and Dronte West entered the Florida Rehabilitation Center

In the past year, many people have expressed concerns about the health of former NBA player Dronte West. The latest is Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. According to ESPN, Cubans picked up the now homeless west at gas stations this week and are willing to pay for treatment in drug rehabilitation facilities.

On Tuesday, Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that West had accepted Cuba’s offer and had checked a rehabilitation facility in Florida.

For several days, the Cuban had been trying to reach the 37-year-old West over the phone. When he was finally able to contact him, West agreed to a meeting. After TMZ released photos of West flooding in Dallas on September 24, Cuba appealed for assistance from the West. She told Cuba that the best thing to do is to find the west. After the Cuban was with West, he waited with the former NBA player in a hotel in Texas until Addison arrived.

West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008 and has struggled financially in recent years. After a video in January of him being handcuffed by the police in Washington, DC, countless previous, current NBA players and people from the sports world have asked the public not to laugh at West.

During the NBA, West disclosed information about the diagnosis of bipolar disorder. In the 2008 game with the Cleveland Cavaliers, West had a heated argument with the referee during the preseason. So intense that afterwards, West admitted that he “needed help”

; and agreed to see a therapist.

“In a sense, you feel like a weak person because you have to raise your hand and ask for help,” he said after being diagnosed by the therapist. “But last week I found that it made me stronger. I refocused, took some medications and talked with people regularly, and I was refreshed.”

The last time West played in an NBA game was in 2012. He and his wife Caressa Madden have two sons.
