Aaron Rodgers wants to make "fairytale end" with Packers

There's not much left to quarterback Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay Packers in the NFL.

He has a Super Bowl ring, two league MVPs and financial stability for 10 lives, the latter being reinforced as he signs the most lucrative contract in NFL history for the second time in his career over the next few months.

Keeping an edge always requires driving forward expectations and goals. His next goal? He created a "fabulous end" in Green Bay by playing well enough that the Packers have no reason to get rid of him, even though he tries to play his 40s.

Listen to Rodgers' response to what drives him now Aaron Nagler of PackersNews.com::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "Being the best and choosing when I'm done."

Rodgers knows what happens to veterans at the end of their careers. Loyalty suddenly disappears. It's the game of a young man, and Franchise goes on without hesitation when an aging player stops producing.

"As you saw here recently with Jordy (Nelson), but even a few years back, whether it's Julius Peppers or AJ Hawk or John Kuhn or Brett Favre, the fairytale ending of the beginning of the career and the end of it with the same organization rarely happens, "said Rodgers. "So that's my goal in this organization, to be indispensable until the '40s, where you have to keep me."

Rodgers' next extension will likely give him the chance to end his Packers career well enough at the end of the deal to financially enable Green Bay to keep it on the books.

It's not hard to listen to Rodgers and think of Tom Brady, who has made it impossible for the Patriots to move on quarterback as he continues to take New England to super bowls in his 40s. He is now set to begin and end his career in New England with individual power to determine when to do it.

Last August, Rodgers talked about leaving a similar type of legacy in Green Bay.

It's a sports fan, and some of my favorite all-time players, who either did not watch the place they started or the place they fell in love with as they played, or they did, "Rodgers said," and see how different the memory of these players is as a fan. When I see some of my favorite players who are just growing up ̵

1; the Derek Jeters, the Kobe Bryants, the Tim Duncan – they're making their whole careers in one place, that's very special. "
