The new shooting game/RPG hybrid game Outriders launched by developer People Can Fly and publisher Square Enix is now available. If you are just starting to play the game, you may notice that it is very simple and there is not much complexity to solve. In other words, there are some functions and mechanisms in the game that will disappear quickly or will never be explained, and they are very helpful. Therefore, we have outlined nine tips below to help you become a top Outrider.
In addition to these tips, we have compiled many other Outriders guides. If you are looking for more information about Outriders, make sure to check them out, this information applies to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Stadia. (The game can also be played via Xbox Game Pass.)
Of course, you have many incredible super abilities in Outriders, but every class also has quite destructive melee attacks. All melee attacks have secondary effects: bleeding for the destroyer, burning for the flamingo, slow for the liar, and frost for the technician. In a pinch, these melee attacks can save you while your back is facing the wall and waiting for one of your skills to rejuvenate, but their main purpose is to offend. Sometimes, there is no better way to launch an offense than rushing directly to the enemy camp.
When you make a melee attack in a sprint, your character will jump into the air and slam into the ground for an effective range explosion-a powerful start to any attack, especially when you act like a Devastator or a tank as a tank. Like the Trickster, they want to get in touch anyway.
There are always better guns
In Outriders, you will always find loot, and the game does a great job of continuously dripping better guns and armor. In the early days, just continue to sell old equipment and equip it with more powerful equipment. This will not only help you take over the small bosses and bosses at the beginning of the game with your ideal power level, but it will also allow you to try many different types of weapons. Don’t get too obsessed with anything-trust us, you will find in the early games something that takes 10 hours to find.
After the introductory chapter of Outriders, you will unlock production skills. Here, you should start paying attention to the stolen goods. Continue to upgrade to the best state, but whenever you find a Rare or Epic item (or, if you are really lucky, a Legendary item), take a moment to look at the Mods they have. When these weapons and armor can no longer be consumed, dismantle them instead of selling them. This will provide you with modifications on these items, which you can then craft onto any rare or epic weapon or armor you find.
The loot is good, but it could be better
Make sure to modify the equipment frequently. Although some mods have some general benefits, such as killing gun shots to restore health or increasing burn damage to your guns, many mods can benefit specific equipment. You don’t have to wait until the endgame begins to form your favorite game style. Every time you give up your old equipment and exchange for something new (again, you should always do it), take this opportunity to make your favorite mods on the new equipment so that you can continue to be dominated by your ideal game style.
For example, if you are a Trickster and prefer to use the “Blade of Time and Space” instead of the “Blade of Cyclone”, then equip the “Healing Light” module (to gain health for each enemy killed by the “Blade of Cyclone”). Gloves are more meaningless than gloves using the Slasher mod (“Blade of Time”). Can be used twice before cooling), regardless of whether the power level of the former is higher than the latter. However, with careful crafting, you can transfer the mod on the second pair of gloves to the first pair of gloves-now you have the best of both worlds, stronger armor and mods that really benefit you. As long as you continue to sell all the equipment you don’t need, and spend a few seconds digging for resources while performing tasks, you can make craft materials. Just keep adjusting the equipment.
Slide to loot
If you are completely worried about missing loot, please turn on Outriders’ automatic loot function. Open the options menu and navigate to the “Gameplay” tab, where you will see sliders that can be adjusted to determine the type of weapons and armor to be automatically plundered.
Maintain your privacy
By default, Outriders allows any and all players to join your game. If you don’t want other people to enter the game randomly, you need to adjust your privacy options. Open the options menu and go to the game tab. From here, you should see an option to change the privacy of the game. You can adjust it so that only friends on the hardware you choose can join your game or close your game completely, which requires people to get your invitation to join.
When you level up, you will unlock points that can be invested in a three-pronged skill tree. You will not be able to release enough points to buy all the skills of all three branches, but don’t consume too much energy. Not only can you reassign your skill points at any time, but you can also do it freely. So try different skills and see which method is best for the version you choose.
The most important thing is that you can recheck your skill tree to get better equipment when farming and help you with the loot game. Certain skills in the skill tree of each class can make your character use certain weapons better and make it easier for them to find these weapons. For example, Trickster’s assassin tree is full of skills that can improve the effectiveness of the class at close range and help Trickster find guns more easily to destroy nearby shops, such as Shop Shotgun Master (increase the damage of shotguns by 15 %, increase the drop rate of bullet gun weapons by 12%).
If you are curious, all four courses provide a skill to help them farm assault guns (assault rifles, light machine guns, submachine guns and double guns). However, only Devastator and Trickster can help them farm for shotguns (Pump Action Shotguns and Automatic Shotguns), and only Pyromancer and Technomancer can help them with rifles and sniper guns (Marksman rifles, automatic sniper rifles, and “bolt action rifles”) .
Change the world, tear
Just because you unlocked a new world level does not mean that you always have to compete on that world level. You should use the highest unlocked world level as much as possible to ensure that you can still get loot drops, which will increase your power level. However, if you are caught in a battle, just lower your world level, get past it, and then increase your world level. There is no penalty for doing this, and it is better than letting yourself invest longer in the same part of the game.
Collect your worldly rewards
Every time you unlock a new world level, you will get new rewards. In order to receive the reward, you need to open the World Tier menu-it will not unlock automatically. In the early days, your rewards were not written much because they were basically rare tools or resources. However, you will eventually start earning Epic and Legendary loot. Therefore, don’t forget to claim these rewards to unlock some powerful mid-to-late game equipment.
