The bodies of five people were found Wednesday morning in a residential building in this Denton County town, according to local news.
A person was injured in the apartment at 600 block of Lone Star Park Lane in Ponder, about 40 minutes north of Fort Worth
No suspect is wanted, reported Star Telegram media partner WFAA-TV
The Denton Record Chronicle quoted a source close to the investigation as saying that "some children" were among the dead, but that could not be confirmed immediately.
Numerous police officers and vehicles could be seen outside the residence, and a large area around them was cordoned off with tape of the crime.
Authorities responded to an emergency call shortly before 8:30 am, WFAA reported
hours after the shooting, the authorities removed pets from the house.
Ponder ISD Superintendent Bruce Yeager said school records did not indicate that the residence is home to students or employees in the district.
