According to the New York Times, a 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a wild attack by a BMW driver on Tuesday. His luxury car was damaged by a bicycle gang during the day in Manhattan.
Law enforcement officials said on Wednesday that the teenager from Queens-who has not been identified because of his underage-was accused of being a teenager after the assault victim Max Togovnik was on a luxury ride on Fifth Avenue.
The source said that about 25 cyclists were involved, and 6 of them damaged Torgovnick’s car. The source added that the police also found another teenager and were looking for him.
Torgovnick told The Post on Wednesday that he and his 70-year-old mother had just donated money from a non-profit organization and went to his father̵
Videos of the tragic attack showed BMW motorcycle cyclists near Fifth Avenue and 21st Street banging their cars with their fists and feet, and another smashing a bicycle on the front window of Torgovnick.
The video showed that an assailant then crashed into the car and arched over the hood, causing the windshield to crack and partially collapse.
“At that time, I was worried that they would break the window, enter the car, reach out and pull us out,” Torgovnick recalled.
His mother screamed and called 911 frantically, “‘We are going to die, they are going to kill us,'” Torgovnick said.
