DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colorado (CBS4) – On Friday night, emergency vehicles crashed into Stepping Stone Neighborhood in Douglas County, reporting a plane crash. There was one death and no survivors.
South Metro Fire Rescue said the crash was a high-speed crash with a confirmed death and no survivors. The crews carry out a recovery grid search in the crash area.

The One Cirrus SR22, a single-engine propeller, crashed around 8:30 pm in the area from Friday behind 11083 Pastel Pt.
The city of Lone Tree submitted this statement on Friday night: Tonight at 9:00 pm the Lone reacted Tree Police Department on a single-engine plane crash near RidgeGate Parkway and Chambers Street. A death was confirmed. LTPD, along with the South Metro Fire Rescue, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Parker Police Department, Centennial Airport and the National Transportation Safety Board, continue to search the area for debris. No residents were injured in this area.
The aircraft took off at Centennial Airport. It is unclear whether the plane crashed at takeoff or landing.
It was unclear what brought the plane to crash many people were aboard.
According to the South Metro Fire Rescue, at least one house was hit by debris. It is unclear how much damage was done.
